The last full week of yummie paintings. Had some trouble with paper the last two days. Tried a new one but it seemes to suck all the dark colors right in and leaves tiny white dots no matter how much paint I add...

Big trees, small trees, blurry trees, green trees, fall trees. I love the forest. So many different techniques this week! Learned a lot.

Week 14 made me want to take a coastal holliday. Some challenges though! But I could definitely notice how my watercontrol is getting better and better.

Flowers and flowerfields for week 13. Very challenging week. I learned a lot about layering. Not equaly happy with every piece but great practice!

I chose two other lights as reference picture for this week because i felt the given ones were a bit to much like the ones we already did this week. I liked the paper lantern one the best.

Week 12. Loved the theme of this week. expecially the first two. Overall I have to practice a little more on this because with most of these I feel I could have done a better job. The last one I mostly messed up. But seeing the collection of lights together I am quite pleased with this weeks work.

Week 10 on beaches. Not my favorite topic, I'm more of a woods kinda-girl. But learned a lot. The last video I felt was a bit rushed. I needed a good 20 minutes extra to paint that. Last two were my favorites of this week.

Week 9 brought us more water in the form of seas and oceans. Love workings with all the blues and virianmixes! The first and last of this week are my favorites.

Week 8, almost halfway already!!

Here are the reference images that I tried out for the sunday homework.

Unfortunately the paper got damaged in the underwater one when I peeled of the masking fluid. It made it very difficult to paint the woman.

Had a LOT of fun with this weeks water theme, it had so much variation with seas, lakes, river, rain and underwater views. Realy learned so much this week!!

The reference images were difficult this week! Great challenges. The first one took me an hour but I'm kinda pleased with that one. The red moon over the water I totally screwed up, not happy with the result. Good learning though. Last one could have been better I think with the glow of the village below. But on the whole, not a bad one either.

Loved these moon series, had most fun painting the cacti. But also like the first with the quote I added.

Made two of the reference images of week 6. I like the purple one the best, love how the soft colors of the sky worked out. A lot went wrong with the stone circle (spilled water, blurred edges, hard edges, sunrays). I guess you could say I learned the most from that painting out of all of this week

Mixed feelings in the sixth week... started out really enthousiastic with the first two day's but after that it was good practice but less satisfaction. Not really my theme I guess...

The first one was the most fun, the second one turned out best in termes of color, the last one I rushed, could do better a second time I think but I have no more time today and decided to just post it and learn from the mistakes. Very challenging but lovely homework today!

And that was the fifth week already. Been painting so much this week, did the other galaxy class by Geethu as well. Totally in love with the theme.

And here is my homework of week 4. Could have happily painted northern lights for weeks te come. But also realy exited for the galaxy theme!

Oh wauw these northern lights. I'm so in love. Finaly I got myself some 100% cotton paper yesterday and so I started again with day 19. So I got up this morning 7h30 with all the house still asleep and started painting doing 5 paintings total before coffeetime. Only the day 20 one wasn't better for it. The best out of 3 for that one was actually the 100% cellulose. Day 19, 23 and 24 are my favorites here. Learned soooo much!

And here are the ones from the reference images. I like the last one the best with the pink/purple misty effect. Thought I spilled a drop of water in the sky when it was already dry :-(

Week three was a joy! I learned so much from these mountains. The green one day 15 was the one I struggled with most. Somehow the clouds didn't want to apear the way I wanted them to and my paint was spreading to much. But it was also a big lesson. I learned that maybe my paper dries quicker but can also be to wet to work right... My favorite this week is the rocky mountains.

My second week, all caught op. Realy enjoying the daily practice. I got some 25% cotton paper, think it improves the possebility's. Masking tape comes of more easily anyway!

Also took another swing yesterday on the reference pictures of the first week.

When I painted the pinetrees in the pink for the snowy night landskape they blurred in to the background almost immediately so I dried the paper a bit first. The wet in wet didn't work there. I will try again when my 100% cotton paper arives. The pink also flooded in to the snowy foregrownd but luckely I was able to correct that with some tissue and tilting my board backwords.

This is my first week. I did a bit of caching up as I started only the day before yesterday en painted 5 skies yesterday. I had so much fun with the skies! The biggest struggle was skill share, I can't upload anything with my phone so now I'm on the laptop and it seams to work!

Day 5 and 6 didn't directly turned out the way I wanted so I did those twice. Realy pleased with the results so far. My paper is 300 gr/m2 but doesn't have any cotton in it. I ordered some with cotton, and am curious about the difference it will make. Did practice with the amound of water needed.

Today I was realy struggling with the reference images for the "day off". It seemed like all the beautiful clouds I was making melted away. This was the first attempt.

So I did it again with much dryer paper but still the result was disapointing. Would like some feedback on this! Should I let the paper dry still more before adding the darkest layer of clouds? Of is it just a paper matter and will this issue be over when I get my cotton paper? Thanks!

Realy enjoy seeing what everybody else made of this!
