Do you ever get bored with standard stuff and want to do something different?

If yes then this is what you probably do:

Open Photoshop
Click every single button you see
Realize that what you did is trash
Delete everything
Start over

But today you are lucky, you know why?

I am gonna show you the steps I took to create this project, so you don't have to click every single button like I did.

BEFORE YOU START (IMPORTANT)

If you are just starting with Photoshop or have never created a 3D line it will be difficult for you to understand these steps. BUT you can go and watch this class, where I explain all the steps in details and help you create another cool project with 3D line.

1. First we need to find a nice image, I would advise you to search for something on Unsplash.com

2. Remove the background

3. Go to filters > Others > HSB/HSL effect. Choose HSB and RGB modes

4. Add Hue/Saturation adjustment and find the right colors

5. Add a gradient background and remove the nose and make face flat (you will see why in the next step)

6. Choose Pen Tool and draw a black shape on the face

7. Creating 3D line is a long process so I am will not show detailed steps. BUT you can go and watch my class where I show how to create a 3D line in details and also create a cool project

8. Add Hue/Saturation to the 3D line, use mask to make sure the adjustment layer affects only lower part of the 3D line.

9. Create another Hue/Saturation adjustment and this time use mask to affect only the upper part of the line

10. Add shadow inside the head. This is really important to give it more depth.

11. Add shadow everywhere you think a shadow should be added
