Another great course from Rich, less than halfway through and really enjoying his introduction to marbling and Procreate’s liquify tool.

The process is really addictive and this, my first liquified image, emerged organically from just messing about with the toolset. Probably a bit overworked but I was totally drawn in and it has helped me no end to appreciate the potential of the iPad Pro, pencil and Procreate, which is still all very new to me.

Out of body blending modes and psychedelic squiggles; playing with the zebra method and just letting things emerge of the their own accord.

The one above was a happy accident that looks a lot like satin or some other shiny material. The two below began with a splatter brush and give the impression of being wood grain.

Can see a lot of possibilities coming out of Rich's introduction to the liquify tool :)

Though the marbling is hard to see in the last image, I really feel it adds interest to a quick and scruffy sketch that paint alone probably wouldn't have achieved. It was actually just playing with marbling colours that inspired the little doodle, so an interesting way of sparking ideas.
