I had really a SUPER fun time following this class!

So much fun, that I totally forgot to take a picture of my two first blobs... ! Oupsie.

I do not have gouache so I used watercolors, the pink has a gouachy texture though.

For the playful part I decided to go with dry pastels because my pencils didn't worked well on the brown dark color. Fun fact : I don't know why I chose those colors, I'm usually all about blues and purples and warm bright colors like this red are not my cup of tea. but this time was different!

I had to turn him around before I got to see something in the shape but then it was obvious, the three eyes, the big arm, the hand...

I really, really love him! I see a mystical wood creature almost kind of forest god. And I can't believe I made it!

For the second blob I saw immediatly the face hidden by the hood so instead of making a creature I just went for it and did a human in a red hood but hey, we humans can be weird creature after all!
Again, I thought about taking a picture when I was already scribbling.

For the story, I was having a terrible day when I took this class and I had decided to paint to try to get rid of my grumpyness and bad feelings...
It worked beyond my expectations and I finished the day very happy with two beautiful creatures!

This time I had a different approach : An artist I really enjoy the work is hosting a challenge on Instagram for his birthday, anyone who wants to participe have to create a monster using prompt words from a chart he created.

My prompt words are : water, fins, mysterious, arrows, dark, turquoise and violet.

I thought it would be fun to create a creature using Marie-Noëlle method and I am really happy I did because this snake fish is very cute!
(I'll post the final result on my Instagram)

So, I knew the colors I'll be using and that at some points I had to make fins to my creature.
I used watercolors and colored pencils.

And well, I made a second one just because! And this time it took me some time to see my creature in the blob but eventually I started to see a weird jelly fish or hermit crab under a rock so I turned it into a swimming jellyfish garden.
It was a lot of fun!
