The project for this class is to sketch and paint a leaf using analogous colours and then finishing the leaf with some gold veins using a metallic gold watercolour. We will also add interest to our composition by including a gold geometrical element.

To get started on this project you'll need a few materials including...

Pencil
Ruler
Transfer/ Tracing paper
Watercolour paper:
- 300gsm or higher
  I will be using Hahnemühle Anniversary Edition 425gsm watercolour paper
Brushes

Large round brushes.

I will be using Silver Black Velvet series 3000s sizes 6, 8 and 10

I will also be using a small round size 1 paint brush to use with the gold pain

2 jars of clean water
Kitchen paper towel
Spray bottle with clean water
Gold paint
