I'm Akanksha Agrawal and I'm from India. I'm a professional Fine artist and Graphic Illustrator for more than a decade now. An architect by degree, I've always been attracted towards beautiful & vibrant colors. I'm in love with arts & colors since childhood. I started drawing & painting when probably I was five & never really left it. ;)

After my schooling, I took a year sabbatical and took extensive training under a renowned senior fine artist the traditional way (old school style), where using white in watercolors was looked down upon (lol). I would be sent to railway stations and local markets to do extensive sketching to learn from real life, which truly teaches a lot. Then I did my Bachelors of Architecture to get a holistic perspective towards art and architecture which made me grew fonder for cityscapes and landscape paintings.

After completing that to pursue my interest in fine arts and digital arts, I did a short course in graphics and started doing brand design, caricatures and t-shirt design (for city marathons) and the idea of seeing my artworks & my creativity on different products (which directly interacts with my clients & buyers), got me really excited & thrilled. My love for travel is immense and I always do my artworks in conjunction with my travel trips. I’d always be spotted with my art supplies doing plein air on vacations and work trips.

From there to now, it has been a beautiful journey. I've been doing fine art exhibitions in different places in India so would love to take that journey ahead & to make as many beautiful artworks as I can to bring it you all. I have also been conducting lot of art workshops and that is when I realized how much I love teaching. The response from my students were overpowering and that’s what has led me to start making my Skill Share classes. I also have a YouTube page wherein I upload demonstrative videos.

Inspiration: Most of my inspiration is taken from exotic Wildlife (Birds and animals) Nature (sea, skies, florals) Landscape/cityscapes & pretty much anything that can inspire me.

Personal Style: I would like to call it mixed. Lot of fun and vibrant colors in almost all my illustrations. I love semi impressionism, contemporary and cartoon illustrations. So you might get to have a look at all kinds.

Favorite mediums: Apart from digital (in love with my iPad pro & wacom), I love love love watercolors & Acrylics. I also love using Charcoal, pastels, inks etc.

And finally here I am to share all the knowledge I have gained over a decade, many tips and tricks to help you ease your journey here and demystify any queries that has been lingering in your mind with respect to painting.
