I was born in England and immigrated to Canada where I pursued a degree in Sociology and Women's Studies. After University I spent over a decade traveling around the world before moving to Hawaii where I founded the Hedonisia Hawaii Eco-Community.

We had great success attracting Interns and Volunteers from around the world who worked on these projects. Sadly, the 2018 Kilauea volcanic eruption destroyed our community.

Hedonisia was more than a community in paradise. Our community was based on ecofeminism and ecotourism. Though we were located in the tropical paradise of Hawaii, we worked on projects intended to have a global reach. We researched business solutions to various problems in the world based on practical principles that allow almost anyone to learn to be an activist entrepreneur.

Nearly every problem in the world from refugees in the Middle East to homelessness in America could have an ethical entrepreneur solution. For any problem, one could create a product or service that makes money AND is some way, works to address the problem. With these intellectual tools, we developed the Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Portfolio addressing issues from reproductive rights to free speech.

With high unemployment in so many regions of the world, the idea of making money by doing good is an idea whose time has come. Why wait for the government to create solutions. Instead, create business solutions.
