How to Create an Engaging Food Blog Post

Hi Kasia! Thanks so much for sharing the blogs you like and your idea! I love all those sites...it's always so interesting to me how many different ways there are to set up a blog--from a Pinterest-y approach like your second example, to the big-giant-juicy-photos approach like your first one. LOVE your blog idea, too! I think it's perfect to start focusing on travel food (keeping in doable and managable is SO key in the beginning!), then expand from there. If you feel up to it, you should take pictures of everything (including food) when you do travel so you can store them away for whenever you're ready to integrate other topics. People don't care if you're posting about a shop (or whatever) you visited a year ago--provided it's still open, of course;)--it's all super consumable content, and I actually think the "looking back" angle is kinda interesting when writing--they call that armchair travel, right;)?--when you can't go anywhere, so you reminisce about a past trip:)? Also, remember to take pics of restaurant/food truck/etc. exteriors and surrounding street(s)--especially if it's going to be geared to travelers. I think people like to get an idea of what the area looks like as well as what the food looks like. And since you're starting local, once you get going, you might consider creating "neighborhood posts" where you'd write up brief descriptions of each neighborhood in your city--then you can link to those from specific restaurant posts--it'll be super helpful to travelers to give them more context, as well as a good way to keep people clicking through your blog. I want to write about the places I visit, the idea I have is to start with food -restaurants, bars, food trucks etc- and then maybe later go bigger and combine it into untimate travel guide...
I love food and traveling, I'm obssesed with trying new cuisines and checking out new restaurants in my city. This blog is sth I've always wanted to start, but never really did. So I'm really excited about this class :)
