Communicating scientific research is confined to high-level expensive magazines and the social media contacts of the authors. This makes it difficult for people out of the loop but that care about a specific area to understand where to look for new and interesting publications. olligo aims to be a platform that will try to treat scientific research as something that can be shared in a social and communicative environment that can learn from your friends and tastes.
I was given the circular logo on the left to work from but I wanted to make the typography work alone with its own meaning. I decided to show the communication and connection aspect of the platform by linking all the vertical characters together.
In my opinion that makes the dot of the "i" look more graphic and helps connect the type with the logo.
