I chose lemons because the have such a strong colour that makes them instantly recognisable. Further more their simple shape makes them easy to convey using this technique, so the colour shows through easily.

I also created these strawberries using the same technique - bold simple shapes work well.

Moving onto florals I used thick and thin Posca pens to create the petals of these on a deep turquoise background. This was acrylic based but with small amount of Paynes Grey watercolour to add some depth. The white pens really pop against this.
