It all starts with this picture and the way Anne paints her tulips both in watercolor and ink on the same page. I am not that confident with ink, but I am with pencil. 

 

This plant is growing in my rosemary pot I got from the grocery store. I honestly love the weed more than the edible plant.

Love this way of having the drawing and color version on the same page in my sketchbook.

 

I'd like to make a full painting from this sketch one day. The bird is drawn from memory, but is inspired by the black birds that often come and sing on my terrace.
