Sample Project by Bonnie Christine

INTRO:
Hello, hello everyone!
I'm Bonnie - a fabric designer, blogger and all around creative. I'm married to the love of my life and momma to my two sweethearts, Bear (4 yrs) and Ollie (2 yrs). Being able to do the work that I love and raise my children from home has always been my goal and is a dream come true!
I love to garden and cook, sew and craft. My husband is a professional cyclist and fly fisherman and we love to spend time outdoors hiking and playing with the kids.
I'm a homebody who enjoys the warmth and simple pleasures of being at home. My favorite color is pink and I love coffee.
AND, I'm so excited to have you in class! Here's my project for you to see and use as an example for your own. I can't wait to see what you make!
PROCESS:
I decided to design a floral diagonal for this project (surprise, surprise!). I started with a paper pencil sketch.
The perfected my sketches using a lightbox and a solid black inked pen.
Once I was happy with the inked sketches, I vectorized them using image trace. Then came the fun part: coloring it up and putting it into repeat!
MY FINAL PATTERN:
I think my final pattern is bright and cheerful. I used the diagonal technique and added some depth by applying an extra layer of texture.
Thanks for viewing my project! xo, Bonnie
