I had so much fun stepping out of my comfort zone in this class and trying a more loose style than I am used to, especially with watercolor. I had fun doodling the different characters and filling them in with whatever color felt like a fit. I was surprised by how they came to life after each new layer of color was painted.
Using purples and blue for shadows may be my new favorite discovery, who knew?

I wanted to give this a try but with a slightly more formal feel to the character, I found this eire photo (on Pinterest, of course!) of a girl mostly submerged underwater and it made me feel like I was drowning just looking at it. So I ran with that idea and decided to add all the blues and greens I felt comfortable with.

Overall, I learned a lot in this class and I am very thankful it was available. Thank you!
