This was a fun challenge. I ordered the Rotary Potentiometer - 10k Ohm, Linear off Sparkfun. I didn't read the description carefully so I did not realize this was not a breadboard friendly potentiometer. 

I clipped off the ends of some of my jumper wires and soldered them on to the little leads and viola! Bent and adjusted the newly soldered on wires a bit and it went into my breadboard easy.

Kind of a shoddy solder job, but hey, it made the connection.

Good stuff!
