Pen and Ink:  Explore Tonal Value and Paint a Mini Landscape

Hi Taryn You have controlled the tones really well in your painting! Especially the distant hills compared to the foreground - well done! You have loads of beautiful ink effects, too. This is a really beautiful painting! I'm curious to know where this landscape is... it looks like New Zealand but probably isn't..? I think you should do more... you clearly have an affinity with ink! Thank you for taking the class!Catherine

Thanks so much. I had to restrain myself from not adding any ink to the sky too. Really wanted the different tones like you said. Try is is actually my take on one of the resource images you provided. I liked the tree contrast.
