I wanted to do something different when the L animates in. I thought it would be cool to to have the ball rotate instead, setting up the rest of logo and animation to pop in. I tried to animate the mask paths in the letters but it wasn't jiving that great with the way I had the letters stagger in. I liked the way it turned out.

Home Task 2

Home task 1, Home task 2, Home Task 3, Home Task 4, and Home Task 6 - image 2 - student project Here is my version of home task 2.  I wanted to incorporate the stretchy text and do some sort of bounce back. That's where the L and O come in. My plan next was to have a shape bounce out of the O and the last O would keep it in place and from bouncing off screen. I kept messing with the keyframes too much on the bounce back and fourth to the G, but it worked out through some happy accidents. For the "animation" part, I wanted that to appear the same time the G appears. After that I added in some of those color trails and posterize times masks. Looks like it could be a techy ping pong logo animation lol.

Here's my take on Home Task 3. Sorry for the quality. I had to down sample the gif to the size requirements. This one took a little longer. I wanted to concept a fun idea for this. I wanted to create a logo for some sort of encrypted password service or some cryptographic thingy. The 8 dots contain the info to decrypt the random numbers, transitioning to the logo. I wanted to animate some gradients in there as well. I mean It's probably too quick but oh well lol. My comps got a little messy as I was progressing. The last thing I wanted to do was animate the "animation" somehow. The motion design agency, Ordinary folk, has a project file on their site of their logo animating in a fun way. I used that as inspiration. Obviously, I only animated the dot from the i, and it definitely was not as complex, but I think that little bit of animation adds the right amount of fun within the time frame.

Here is home task 4. I had some more trouble with this one because I do more flat 2D stuff stuff. I wanted to keep it within the tech theme and ended up having it look more like something from the 80's. It's really effect heavy. I kept getting bogged down with way too many ideas and trying to do too many things. I stripped a lot down. Plus I had to stick with something. I like the way it turned out. I think I might animation some FUI elements and what not if I revisit this. Play with the camera depth more and possibly do some minimal Cinema 4D animation and bringing it back to After Effects.

Here is my version of Home Task 5. I gave up on this 3 times then pulled through haha. I wanted to challenge myself on this. I made an intro for a fake food show online where the host find recipes online and figures out what pairs well with them. After I kind of had an idea of what to do, I stuck with it. enjoy
