I've been focusing on botanical painting and this was a wonderful course. I've learned a lot form painting along, thanks! I love painting mushrooms, so this was a perfect course for me :)

The take away lesson for me was to not stop at two or three layers! There was so much layering in this piece and that really helped build up color and form.

Only thing that i don't like is that the red paint did smudge on the white of my paper... Maybe I'll try carefully removing the paint from the masking fluid bits before trying to remove it next time... or painting without the masking fluid...
