I really enjoyed this and got quite immersed in looking and drawing and mixing colours!

I cheated a bit on the prompts - did the water colour first and then decided that black pen would look too harsh and went for coloured pencil for the trees (and some extra texture) instead.

Also skipped some parts of the trees but overall I’m quite proud of the way they came out - felt intimidated by the millions of branches all tangled together. How do you approach trees like this without becoming swamped by detail that’s too much to depict?

Below is my photo reference - it was too cold for me to work outside and enjoy it but I’m definitely going to give it a go when it gets warm again!
