Project Description:

In this project, I designed a clock with shelves following the step-by-step instructions provided, using the fundamental tools and techniques learned in the course.

1. Clock Creation:

   • I started by using the Ellipse Tool to create a simple, clean clock face.
   • Then, I added the clock hands using the Line Segment Tool, ensuring proper alignment and proportion.
   • To finish the clock, I used the Text Tool and Shape Tool to add numbers and markers around the edge for a classic clock design.

2. Designing Shelves:

   • I used the Rectangle Tool to draw shelves below the clock, making sure they were evenly spaced and aligned using the Align Panel for precision.

3. Adding Tchotchkes:

   • I added various small items like books, plants, and vases on the shelves using basic shapes and the Shape Builder Tool to combine and refine the objects.

4. Filling the Shelves:

   • I got creative by filling the shelves with personal touches, including different styles of plants, books, and decorative elements.
   • I experimented with colors and shapes to give each shelf character and make the design visually appealing.

5. Expanding the Scene:

   • To further enhance the space, I added a stylish coffee table and a cozy chair, perfect for reading.
   • I also created some wall art with framed posters and drew colorful flower pots to make the room feel warm and inviting.

This project allowed me to practice a variety of Illustrator tools, including the Shape Builder Tool, Pathfinder Panel, and Align Panel, helping me develop my design skills while adding my personal touch. I had a lot of fun bringing this room to life and exploring creative ways to fill the shelves with unique items.
