Urban Sketching Fundamentals - Focus on Lines, Pen and Ink

Hi Pat! Thanks for sharing this lovely sketch.I think the quality of line work is lovely, and it looks like you've use a mix of water soluble inks (brown and blue and perhaps even green) to get different tones? Is that correct, or perhaps the lines in the green and blue are watercolour pencil?Overall, it's certainly a very accomlpished sketch and I wouldn't immediately pick out obvious improvements that are needed!Being picky, I would say the weight of line could probably be more varied and more light in places - for example the distant mountains are the same weight as the foreground, where as they could be lighter. And some of the details (window frames and stairs) are quite bold, whereas you could experiment with making them very fine, for example.REally great sketch though, and thanks again for sharing!

Thank you for this fantastic course, the likes of which I had been searching for for a while!  This course along with your Continuous Line drawing course has taken me, finally, from left brain to right brain.
