It's really tough to try and get the lighting you want with basically no lights or tools, but I'm still going to try and make what I can. Lighting is something I have recently realized is something I have always been fascinated by.

Working with an older smartphone, and a small apartment, I did what I could. 

For this photo I used a candle for natural lighting in the background, a lamp covered with an orange fabric for the main lighting on the left (I did this to also add a cozy feeling to the image), and a more focused beam of light to add a minor highlight on the right side of the book.

 

The picture and paw print in the back is a reminder of my departed cat of 18 years, and the book being read is the Grimm Story collection (part of my favorite genre to read)
