Copilot

As a Team Lead, Microsoft 365 Copilot can help you reduce a lot of administrative overhead and allow you to spend more time on technical problem-solving and team leadership.

1. Emails (Biggest Time Saver)

Current activity

Reading emails
Prioritizing requests
Responding to stakeholders

Use Copilot in Outlook

✅ Summarize lengthy email threads

✅ Identify action items automatically

✅ Draft professional responses

✅ Ask:

"Summarize this email thread"
"What actions are assigned to me?"
"Draft a response acknowledging the request and providing status"

Expected saving: 30-45 minutes/day

2. Follow-up on Projects and Action Items

Current activity

Chasing members for updates
Tracking project status
Identifying blockers

Use Copilot in Teams

Ask:

"Summarize project updates from member this week"

"What open action items are assigned to the team?"

"Create a follow-up message for pending tasks"

You can also ask Copilot after meetings:

"Create action items with owners and due dates"

This eliminates maintaining separate notes.

3. SAP BASIS Incident Management

Current activity

Troubleshooting incidents
Reading logs
Researching solutions

Use Copilot as Technical Assistant

Create a Copilot Page for ongoing incidents:

Paste ST22 dumps
HANA errors
SAP Notes
Alert logs

Ask:

"Summarize probable root causes"

"Create troubleshooting steps"

"Convert this incident resolution into a KB article"

This is especially useful for recurring issues.

4. 1:1 Member Connects

Current activity

Preparing discussion points
Capturing notes
Following up

Use Meeting Copilot

Before meeting:

"Prepare talking points for my 1:1 with [Member]"

After meeting:

"Summarize key discussion points"

"List commitments and follow-up actions"

Your engagement plan document already promotes structured coaching and development-focused 1:1 discussions.

Expected saving: 15-20 minutes per 1:1

5. Stakeholder Meetings

Current activity

Catchups with stakeholders and project teams
Preparing status updates

Use Meeting Prep

Ask:

"Prepare me for today's stakeholder meetings"

"Summarize previous discussions related to this meeting"

After the meeting:

"Draft a MOM with actions, owners and deadlines"

This eliminates manual note taking.

6. SOP and Technical Documentation

Current activity

Creating SOPs
Updating process documents
Documenting lessons learned

Use Word Copilot

Examples:

"Create an SOP from these implementation steps"

"Convert this incident resolution into a technical runbook"

"Generate pre and post-maintenance checklist"

My recommendation for you

Given your role, the highest ROI would come from using Copilot for:

Email summarization and drafting
Meeting preparation and action-item tracking
Converting SAP incident resolutions into SOPs/Knowledge Articles
Generating weekly status reports for management

These four areas alone could realistically eliminate 1-2 hours of administrative work every day, allowing you to focus more on SAP delivery, stakeholder management, and team development.
