Hi, I'm Tori Hagaman. One of my greatest delights in life is to paint joyful subjects in joyful colors. It's been an extraordinary journey, and I hope you'll join me as I help you press through discouragement to breakthrough!

I didn't start painting until late in life, believing that if I wasn't born with natural artistic ability, I would never be a good painter. I have come to believe that 75% of painting is based on the decisions that you make. If you learn to consistently make good decisions, you will start to see consistently good paintings.

Painting can be much like our habit of handwriting. We all have something that naturally comes out of us, but that's subject to improvement! We can intentionally learn new habits and develop a more quality painting style.

My goal is to help you make great decisions in every area of your artwork, so that you can pull out the very best that's in you. I'll encourage you and help you to see areas that could be improved, so that corrections can be made. When those new habits are incorporated into your paintings, hopefully your work will go to the next level.

In my full-length painting tutorials, I'll include any mistakes that I make or things that just aren't working well. I'll then share my thoughts about what's wrong and how to fix it. As important as it is to learn the foundations of painting, my experience is that it's equally important to identify what's wrong and how to correct it. I'd like to help you with that.

I am hoping these videos will be fun and encouraging, and leave you with real tools that you can implement into your painting style.
