This is the main piece of your project. You can get started after you watch, “Creating a ROADMAP: Setting Goals & Hitting Them.”

BACKGROUND (VIDEO RECAP):
Although we’re well intentioned, too often our goals go unmet. There are three main reasons why:

They are unrealistic
They aren’t measurable
They don’t include accountability

The ROADMAP framework helps us prioritize our goals into only the top 1-2 most meaningful goals, or ROADMAPs. The ROADMAP includes a big-picture objective, specific action items, measurable action items, and an accountability plan to help us focus and achieve our goals.

INSTRUCTIONS:

For a detailed walkthrough and examples, rewatch the video "Creating a ROADMAP: Setting Goals & Hitting Them." We've also included additional examples in the Toolkit worksheet: Setting a ROADMAP.
Use the ROADMAP worksheet to create your own ROADMAP and share it with the community.
1. Make your own copy of the worksheet by going to "File" > "Make a Copy."
2. Fill out your ROADMAP on page 4, The ROADMAP Template.
3. Take a screenshot or export your ROADMAP as a PDF to share in your project.
4. OPTIONAL: If you'd like any specific feedback or have questions, include those in your project for me (Melissa, the instructor) and the community.
Communicate your ROADMAP with your accountability partner. As a manager, this is most likely a peer, either at your company or in a similar role at another company. This should be someone who you can check in with around once a month.

2. If you need a partner, connect with a classmate in our discussion section!
After you’ve shared your ROADMAP, offer feedback on at least 2 other projects. This not only helps your fellow classmates grow, but you'll also exercise your ROADMAP development skills by critiquing others. (I'll also personally offer feedback on every ROADMAP!)
