In this class, I’m going to teach you 10 simple and impactful changes you can make that will elevate and enhance the look, feel and function of your website.

I have spent the last few years working across multiple styles of websites and have developed a strong understanding of the key design elements that make certain websites stand out both aesthetically and functionally. This class will teach you 10 simple changes you can apply to your current website that will dramatically amplify and improve it quickly and effectively.

The importance of a good website cannot be underestimated. Your website is an essential hub for all your marketing channels, so it is imperative that it not only looks the part but is also functional and user friendly.

Who is this class for?

This class is for anyone who has a website or is planning to have a website! It is especially geared towards small businesses, surface pattern designers, illustrators, artists or creatives who have built their website themselves, but applies to any and all websites. This class will be particularly helpful for beginners who have no previous web design experience.

The class is ideal for students who want to elevate their current website, or are looking to implement best practice when designing a new website. We will be focusing on graphic design for websites as well as practical functional changes. Throughout the class you will learn how to best plan and analyze your website to enhance the look, feel and function and end up with a more considered design.

This class would not be overly beneficial to people with a strong graphic design background or experienced web designers. However, I think there is always value in seeing new perspectives, so it may still be worth watching, even if just for a refresh of ideas!

What will you need?

The only physical thing you need for this class is a computer. I will be demonstrating my planning and a few techniques in Adobe Illustrator but you don’t need to have Adobe to complete this class. Throughout this class I demonstrate each change on a Wordpress website, but these tips can be applied to any website despite your host.
You will need a basic understanding of front end web development, but if you already have a website all this content will be easy for you to understand. If you don’t have a website, you can still understand the basic theory of this content and apply it when you start to build your own website!
