I can’t believe I can draw a bird! And when I wasn’t looking! Thanks Catherine for another brilliant art course! (And I love the blue footed booby bird - it has such wonderful character).

Today (below) I attempted drawing the ibis, using the three step approach. It’s another bird species I’ve grown to love for it’s quirkiness and prehistoric features. I’ve a way to go with it, but love the way the blind and semi blind approach teaches your eyes to really look and not to trust your brain too much :)

Catherine for a brilliant course in line drawing and for ‘The toothbrush approach to daily creativity.’ I’ve incorporated into my aim of daily creativity Matthew Husseys ‘one great hour’ to time limit myself. I’ve had a bit of fun with the drawing above and added a little bit of Dan Barrett’s watercolour paint to the legs and beak. The paper in my sketchbook was a bit thin for watercolours, as I’m using my ‘cosy bed’ workplace kit from the Toothbrush Approach course, but not a bad start to the day :):)

Thank you @catherinejennifer for introducing me to this wonderful topic! I’m hooked :) Really looking forward to trying owls :)

Owls don’t seem to have the quirkiness of the other birds, but their feathers are beautiful especially in flight. The head is huge on this owl, and looks more like a lion. Kept having sneaky perks so going straight into semi blind attempt :)
