Hi, I'm Tina, I have taught sewing for the last seven years in both New York City and Westchester County, New York. My classes have included students from a wide variety of age groups, skill sets, and personalities. All are welcome.

I have loved sewing ever since childhood and this love has led me to study pattern cutting and sewing in the United Kingdom. I have enjoyed being able to create my own clothing for day-to-day wear to special events, and I believe you will too!

What I've realized is that in past generations, children would learn these skills simply as part of growing up, either within their own homes or in an extended community of grandmothers, traditional schools, etc. This bond seems to have weakened over time. Given the renewed interest in sewing happening all around us, we now need to find new ways to connect. That is where I come in.

With minimal skills, it is possible to create your own unique piece of clothing, and then build on and extend your skills over time. My hope is that my classes will inspire, inform, and empower you in your own sewing journey. I very much look forward to working with you.
