For your class project, you’ll create one week’s worth of daily Instagram Storiesand save them as a Story Highlight on your Instagram profile page.

Using the tools and features we discussed in class, create Instagram Storiesas we go along. Aim to make at least one Story a day to familiarize yourself with the different features as well as create a consistent Instagram presence. Do share screenshots of your stories in the project gallery so we can follow along!

When you have a week’s worth of Instagram stories, save all the Stories you’ve created as a Story Highlight. A Story Highlight is a mini video reel of Instagram Stories that lives permanently on your profile page and can be viewed even after the 24-hour expiry time limit.

On your Instagram profile page, tap "New" in the Story Highlight section right below your bio.
Scroll through your Archive and tap on the stories that you want to add to your Story Highlight.
When you've selected all your stories, tap Next.
Add a title (15 characters or fewer).
Edit your Cover by choosing a frame from one of the stories in your Story Highlight.
Tap Done and Add!

The second-to-the-last class provides a video walkthrough on how to save all the Stories you’ve created as a Story Highlight and give your Story Highlight a title and a cover image.

You're almost done! Just share the highlight link in the Project Gallery so we can all see your Story Highlight.

On your Instagram profile page, press and hold the Story Highlight you created until the dropdown menu appears.
Select "Copy Highlight Link."
Paste the highlight link in the Skillshare Project Gallery.
Feel free to include a screenshot of your Story Highlight!

Noord-Zuid Lijn Story Highlight

After 15 years under construction, Amsterdam opened its newest subway line, the Noord-Zuid Lijn (North-South Line) in the summer of 2018. I was among a select group of Instagrammers invited to explore the shiny new stations before they were opened to the public.

I used excerpts from "Neverwhere" by my favorite author, Neil Gaiman, to create a series of stories about the magic of the underground subway line.

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the world's biggest conference and festival for electronic music. I was one of five Instagrammers given an all-access pass to ADE's over 1,000 events in nearly 200 locations over five days and nights.
