Write and direct your own short film!

To follow the outline of this class, write and direct a film (in 5 shots) about two strangers who meet, come into conflict, then have a resolution. You can reference Julian's film "The Moment" as an example (lesson video #4). Alternatively, feel free to direct your own short film based on a story or script you’ve already written, using the “5 shot” technique.

Please post all of your progress (e.g. outline, script, shot list, rough footage, etc.) in the Student Project gallery - I’d love to see what you create, even if it isn’t a finished film!

2. 2 medium shots (one for each character)

Direct Your Actors
1. Be positive
2. “Yes…and” to encourage and give constructive feedback
3. Be specific
4. Try non-verbal takes
Lenses:
