My name is Sharon, a freelance artist and illustrator based in Coquitlam, BC.

I love to paint whenever I can find the spare time (or sometimes, even if I don’t find any spare time).
As soon as I get an inspiration, I immediately feel the adrenaline rush. This sometimes drives me to paint late into the night (or mornings…).

A lot of the ideas for my paintings come to me spontaneously once I pick up a paintbrush. This is when I know that I have something good coming.

However, in some cases, I do require some extra time to research my subject because I’m not confident enough to get started. This might mean studying the movement of a rhino on youtube or reviewing the core schematic of a structure. A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to visit the San Diego Zoo to see some live safari animals in action and this gave me a lot of inspiration.

Some of my other favourite things include chilling out at cafes, hanging out with my kids and enjoying a nice cup of tea.

So the bottom-line is simple for me.

I do what I love and I love to paint!
And it is my pleasure to share my art with you.
