Hello there!

I am Savini Gauri a.k.a. your baking and pastry mentor.

I am a professionally trained Pastry Chef who loves to learn and teach!

I eat, breathe and sleep desserts (or anything baked for that matter), and am proud to say that I have been doing it for over 10 years.

Over these years, I have learnt and understood quite a lot about baking and pastry arts. It is all that knowledge that I would like to share and teach everyone.

These recent times have pushed all of us to think creatively and outside the box when it comes to our professional lives. I have been looking for ways and means to help share my knowledge and understanding of baking and pastry arts.

Through my courses, I would like to help people get rid of the notion that baking is a stressful and tedious activity. In my effort to do so, I will be sharing a wide variety of basic recipes in the easiest possible way with very little to no technical terms for all the novices.

However, for those who have some level of understanding and experience, I will also be teaching and demonstrating how to take those basic and simple recipes to create something magical out of them and elevate them to another level.

For those who have made it this far into reading my bio, let me introduce myself properly and share a bit of my background.

To tell you a little bit more about myself, I am from New Delhi, India. I have a Bachelors in Marketing (with a minor in Economics, in case anybody is interested :) ) from one of the premier institutions in India. Till that time I continued to pursue Baking by selling baked goodies and doing bake sales to sustain myself and fund my education. The ultimate goal even then was to save up for culinary school. Then I worked in a few restaurants before I took the plunge and went to culinary school.

As planned, I made it to culinary school in New York and had the opportunity to work at some Fine Dining places in Manhattan, New York.

Since then I have been running a cloud bakeshop called Savini The Bakeshop along with a recipe blog called savinithebakeshop.com

I have successfully sold thousands of baked goods and developed close to a hundred unique and interesting recipes.

My aim is to make baking approachable for everybody by breaking it down into very simple and manageable steps to follow and enjoy.

I look forward to being able to make your lives just a little bit sweeter by helping you make the best desserts ever.
