Class Project 01 - Proxies & Media Browser

Delete our last project and proxies

1. Tourism Ireland - Roadrising V2.prproj
Proxies
1. Using the media browser Ingest the footage using the following Proxy settings.
2. Files to bring in: Tourism Ireland > Audio + Footage + Graphics
3. Proxy setting
  1. Apple Prores 422 (or something else you prefer)
  2. With text watermark ‘Proxy’
Editing
1. New Sequence: Tourism Ireland - Roadrising 30 seconds
2. Cut it down to no more than 30 seconds.
  1. Import but don’t use ‘01 Tourism Z - Kelly Lacy.mp4’.
3. Add voice over
  1. There are 2 readings of the voice over.
  2. You can cut and space the sections out if you want.
4. Add Music
  1. There are a couple to choose from in your exercise files or you can pick your own.
  2. Make sure this mixes nicely with the voice over. using Proxies
Export using proxies
Upload your video to either Behance, Vimeo or similar.
1. Share the link to your video on either the Assignments/Projects section.
2. Note: Don’t use Youtube as they don’t like duplicate content.

1. Go to Pexels.com > Videos
2. Lucky number
3. Use a similar keyword to find another shot to match.
Match the color using Lumetri: Color Wheels & Match
Experiment with the color wheels, basic correction & HSL Secondary if you’re brave.

Class Project 04 - Hue Saturation Curves

Go to Pexels.com > Videos > New
1. Choose anything from this first 20
Match the color using Lumetri > Curves Hue Saturation Curves
Change one specific colour.

Class Project 5 - Luma Waveform

Use your own file and/or:

Use the Luma Waveform and either Curves or Basic > Tone to correct the brightness.

Class Project 07 - Film Grade

Using any of the techniques shown, add a film look, either hollywood, bollywood, indie.
Show the before and after by having your adjustment layer only partially over your clip.

Ideally find your own transition matte but you can use Matte 05.mov if you want.

Class Project 09 - Morph Cut

Start with the practice file: Morph Cut 03.mp4
1. Then if you have footage of your own please experiment with that.
Use the Morph Cut effect.
1. Experiment with your cuts & length of the transition.

Using the gaussian blur, track and blur the numberplate or face or logo (depending on your footage).

Class Project 12 - Multi Cam

Visit the Cinestudy website and find their Edit Challenge - Multicam
1. Or use your own footage if you have any.
Sync the multi cam using the audio feature in Premiere rather than ‘finding the clap’ in the waveform.
I want you to grade the footage in any way you want. Adding a distinctive style to the music video.
Upload your video to either Behance, Vimeo or similar.
1. Share the link to your video on either the Assignments/Projects section.
2. Make sure you use the tag #Cinestudy.
3. Use the credits listed on the website, either on screen or in the description.
4. Consider supporting the creators as they create these projects for free.

Class Project 13 - Sound

Use your own file or Sound > Rain.mp4
Try to remove the background rain noise.
1. You can use any technique you like. Not just the ones you’ve learnt in this class.
Have 2 versions on your timeline. One with the audio fix and one without.
1. Use some text to indicate the Original & Fixed versions.
Render your video with both versions so we can hear the comparison.
