I've picked this tree landscape as the class project, and there are a few reasons I specifically picked this drawing. First up, it contains some great contrast. I always say the key to creating any realistic coloured pencil drawing is getting in a full range of darks, lights and midtones. I also particularly liked that it's not too complicated. There's only a limited area of detail on the tree - you don't need to be as accurate for the rest of the drawing.

Do experiment with picking your own colours. If you would like to use the exact same colours as I have, I've included a list of colour swatches into the class resourses.
