Class Project:

Your class project is to draw a female character! This can be a character that develops as you make your sketch, an original character you've come up with, or perhaps one of your favorite characters drawn in your own style.

Getting Started:

Access all the Class Resources. Then work through the videos at your own pace.

Recommended Materials:

Use whatever drawing or painting tools you're comfortable with. Here are my recommended tools for digital and pencil pieces:

DIGITAL TOOLS

(Currently, I use a Generation 1, 12.9" iPad Pro and a Generation 2, 10.5" iPad Pro.)

You can sometimes purchase Apple Products certified refurbished here. Used, but a bit cheaper.

SCREEN PROTECTORS

Sparin Brand I really enjoy this smooth screen protector. I am in the minority of people who prefers the apple pencil to glide over the screen. This one is smooth as butter and I enjoy using it on my 12.9 iPad Pro.
PaperLike This is a nice brand and I enjoy using it on my 10.5 iPad Pro. This protector adds a little visual noise, but the feel of the apple pencil on the screen is quite appealing and natural feeling.

PENCILS

0.3 3H Lead & 0.3 Draft-Line Pencil (for light line work)
0.5 4B Lead & 0.5 Staedtler Pencil (for darker line work)
Other Pencil Options: Pro-Matic MC5 or 2B Pentel Lead & 0.9 Draft-Line Pencil

PAPER

HP Premium Paper or Piccadilly Sketchbook
