It's time to put everything you learnt about composition into practice!

First review all 8 boards (PDFs 01-08) we covered in this course.
Read through the PDF listing all the terms (GDT_composition-terms.pdf) we covered in this course.
Complete a few of the pages (or all of them) of the Analysis Worksheet PDF (GDT_composition-analysis_worksheet_all_examples.pdf) to get better at recognizing all the rules and principles we covered in this course.

Course Project: Design a magazine spread

Your task is to design a two-page magazine spread, utilising everything you have learnt in this course. The recommended tool for this project is Adobe InDesign. Here are a couple of great editorial layouts for inspiration showcasing many of the principles and rules we covered:

Pick a topic that you are interested in and find images to fill the layout (use stock sites like Freepik, Unsplash or generate images using tools like Adobe Firefly).
Use at least 3 different images and a minimum of 1,000 characters of text in your layout.
Try to include at least 3 of the following editorial elements: kicker, intro copy, pull-quote, byline, footer.
You can use Lorem Ipsum (placeholder text) for the copy or use tools ChatGPT to generate the required amount of paragraphs for you.
To help you come up with interesting compositions it is recommended to start by creating a couple of thumbnail sketches.
Feel free to also incorporate other principles we covered in this course to further enhance your composition's impact.
