Wherever you are in the Meghan’s three-step process, use the project space to connect and share with other writers. We can’t wait to see what you write!

As a reminder, here are the exercises Meghan walks through in the class:

Exercise I: Finding your story
- Reflect on a past experience. Write a short paragraph about how it made you feel then.
- Next, write about how it makes you feel now.

Exercise II: Adding the big picture
- Finish the sentence: “The thing people don’t often realize about me is _________.”

Exercise III: Find an intellectual hook
- Finish the sentence: “While we might assume ________ about what I just said, I have to wonder if what’s really going on is _________.”

Exercise IV: Taking risks
- Write the thing you are most afraid to write, like an embarrassing experience.
- Go back and write a second draft as if you're telling the same story at a dinner party, layering in the elements Meghan discussed.
