Your project is to create a botanical poster or greeting card to say “thank you” to someone you love using watercolour and Adobe Photoshop! By using the techniques that we covered in this course you’ll be able to create many more to come!

I will be looking for:

Different types of flowers in different positions
Different types of foliage at different scales and in different colors
At least one minimal composition
At least one complex composition

Once you’ve completed your artwork, upload it to the Project Gallery, so we can all have a look at what you have created.

Share your color palette and swatches, so we can all build a color library together!
Share your initial stage of the process where you paint your separate botanical assets
Surprise us with your final compositions — the more the better!
How your artwork looks if you print it, or post it, or use one of the templates to see how it would look on a wall or a greeting card!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

2 cups of water
A Pencil
Eraser
Paper towels or napkins
Watercolor paints (tube or pan paints will work well)
Watercolor brushes in a couple of different sizes
Watercolor paper (300gr)
A scanner or camera to digitize your paintings
Adobe Photoshop installed on your computer
Having a drawing tablet is great but not mandatory
Photo references for natural inspiration are optional
