For this project, I wanted to learn how to bend objects in Blender. This was pretty interesting to research, since there are different ways to do it and they each give different results. I wanted these tables to be made of acrylic. I think the dark brown table looks the closest to acrylic in terms of material, but I realise the others are a tad too thin and resemble glass a lot more than my original intention.

Also, bending specifically felt like a pain. I discovered Proportional editing which I used in the orange and green tables, but you can see my edge loops in both and the quality is just not what I wanted it to be. I also feel like you don't have as much control with it in terms of proportions in the rest of the model with that type of editing unless you do a lot of measurements and stuff (but I could just be a noob, which is most likely the case).

The brown table I achieved by using the Simple Deform modifier. It was actually the quickest to model compared to the others, and super satisfying once you understand how to use it.

I am not sure where I went wrong with the subdivision surface modifier though, no matter what I did I just couldn't get the tables to be as smooth as I wanted them to be especially at the bends. But I like the way they reflect light.

The other object I modelled in here is the table lamp. This table lamp is a quick recreation of a lamp by Romulo Temigue, which I saw on Pinterest and I couldn't resist bringing it into this scene by using the Emission property for the lamp light material.

In terms of lighting, I think it looks pretty good. I wanted to go for more of a flatter light to get all the detail, but still added a bit of haze via a tinted window and the blinds.
