This class will teach you how to connect the basic strokes together to create letters and how to connect the letters to create words.

This class has step by step process of creating all 26 letters of the English Alphabet and how these letters are combined together to create words.

While creating words by joining letters, there are some new strokes that are formed; so you will learn about those strokes as well.

After taking this class, you will get a complete awareness and knowledge about basic calligraphy on iPad.

Once you watch the previous class, you are now ready for this 2nd Part of the Class.

Welcome to the 2nd Part!

Here, you will Learn,

How to connect Basic strokes together to create Letter Forms. (For this, you will work on Workbook 2A.)
I will be sharing how I divide my letters into various groups, based on the Entrance strokes or the first stroke of the letter.
You will learn to create all 26 Letters of the English Alphabet by connecting 2, 3 or 4 different basic strokes together.
The next step will be to combine or connect these 26 Letters and create different words. For this, you need to start with Workbook 2B
You will be learning about forming 2,3,4,5,6 and more lettered words
We will be practising these words together which are given in Workbook 2B.
You will learn how different letters are combined together. In combining the letters together, you will also learn new strokes that get formed.
You will follow along while forming words

“to, go, be, so, bat, car, yay, pray, boss, peel, zebra, below,

believe, accurate, english, golden, minimum, willow etc."

You will also learn and gain tips on how you can join difficult letters together, for example, the letter “o” to the letter “s”

I encourage you to practice these words and take up more such words from the list of words in the resources section

You will also learn a few tips for speeding up your Calligraphy learning process.

How to improve your Basic Strokes?

5. PDF File for the Workbook 2 (in case you want to take the printout for practising on paper using a pen or if you want to keep the Notes handy for your quick reference).

6. Color Swatch jpg File (in case you are facing any difficulty downloading the colour swatch file on Procreate, you can use this jpg file and tap, press hold the colours and make your colour palette on Procreate)

I am including
1. 3 brushes, completely free (monoline brush, pressure-sensitive Color changing Zig kuretake brush pen brush and Nikko G nib colour-changing brush) for your practice which will help you see your strokes having the right amount of pressure.

2. Two workbooks to practice your basic strokes, letters and words with guided directions.

3. Words list for your practice includes 20 selective words that will help you improve your basic strokes and letter connections.

Your Project:

So, it will be fun understanding Procreate app and making use of Procreate app to create your digital lettering as your 1st project.

1.Create a canvas size 2000 pixels x 2000 pixels and a textured background and a frame on the canvas to make it ready for your project.

2. Write any 5 words from the listed words in this project where you will create letters using the lessons you learnt in basic strokes and letter connections on the canvas you prepared.

Once you go through the class, I would recommend you to do at least 20 minutes daily calligraphy practice, it's high chance you will get addictive to iPad lettering!
