Your class project is to illustrate an imaginative house in Procreate!

I've provided the brief below for you to fill out and help you get started dreaming up an inspiring theme for yourself, but if you already have a good idea of what you'd like to draw then feel free to dive straight in and go gather some photo inspiration!

Getting Started:

Review the project videos to follow along and create your project with me. Remember these are just guidelines and you’re more than welcome to use any technique, style, or process that works best for you!

Suggested Process:

Write out a short brief as a starting point and then gather relevant photo reference
Gather several inspiring reference photos or create a moodboard relating to your chosen theme
Sketch some quick, loose studies of these photos to familiarise yourself with the theme
Practice rendering materials and shapes (optional)
Sketch out several thumbnail compositions and choose your favourite to take to final
Refine the chosen thumbnail sketch, adding more detail and further defining your shapes
Create several colour roughs to choose between
Block out your main layers with your chosen colours
Add texture & details
Once your project is complete, export it as a jpeg or png image and share it with us in the project gallery, along with your studies, sketches, and works-in-progress!
