Hi there! I am Moon Maxwell.

Growing up, I experienced and observed the transformative effect that art has on the humanity of people- their ability to have empathy for others, to feel love and make others feel loved, and to care; this has made me want to share with you what I have learned about art and life, and hopefully motivate you to expand your creative intuition and explore mindful ways to connect with contemporary visual culture.

I have always enjoyed the process of making and creating art. Over the years, my creative enthusiasm has evolved into a steady meditative art practice and academic pursuit. But most importantly, art history and practice are about self-introspection; more than anything else, when I study an art piece, I want to understand what attracts me to it- what draws me in.
