About This Class

First of all , happy new year to all of you and thanks to each one of you for your love and support you have given me throughout.

This is my first class of 2023 , tried something different , hope you will like it.

Gift-giving is an important part of life, and a hand-crafted greeting card is a gift. Every handmade card is a work of art. When you send one of these cards, you are sending an emotional piece of yourself. What better way to tell someone you care.

This class is for you if you are a beginner/intermediate in decoupage art and want to learn some deco transfer technique.

What is Decoupage :

Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf, and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers. Each layer is sealed with varnishes (often multiple coats) until the "stuck on" appearance disappears and the result looks like painting or inlay work. The traditional technique used 30 to 40 layers of varnish which were then sanded to a polished finish.

I have uploaded a total of three handmade pouch designs for your reference

We will use simple steps and tools so that the class is simple and easy for you to understand; I hope you will like it.

We will start this class right from the basics so that you can join along without any previous knowledge or experience with decoupage art.

What will we cover?

All the tools you require
The gluing technique and some basic brush techniques
How to paste the napkin
We will do multiple layering of glue
How to use varnish to seal and protect your artwork
Finally, we will create a beautiful pouch

Once you've completed this class, you will be able to use this technique on a variety of bases like wood, glass, canvas etc , and you will love to gift them to your loved ones.

Furthermore, this class is especially for those thinking of trying decoupage for the first time and adds an advantage to those who already know this art.
