In the 5th video of this course, I talk about what I take with me to help make my experience shopping secondhand a successful one. This looks different for each person!

The first project is to come up with a small list of items that will help prepare you for your first, or millionth thrift trip! Think of ways you can look out for yourself, and what items you would be very happy to have on hand!

Take a photo and post it to the project gallery, along with a list describing why that item is a necessity for you! When you post, compare your list to other students to see if there is something additional you would be excited to have on hand!

Here is my list:

1. Hat, scarf, mitts, hand warmers - because Canada is cold!

2. Wallet - because otherwise, it would be a sad trip!

3. Reuseable bag - because putting recycled items in a new plastic bag is the pits!

4. Tape measure - because sometimes I prefer to use my measurements to shop!

5. Kleenex- because Canada is cold!

6. Headphones - because sometimes I like to be my own DJ!

7. Hand Sanitizer - because, snacks!

8. Snacks and water - because you wouldn't like me when I'm hangry!

9. Lip Balm - because Calgary is dry...and cold!
