So thrilled to share my (not-so-cohesive) first pattern collection all drawn on my iPad! This course was so helpful and inspirational; thanks, Liz!

First thing first: Inspiration

I made a tiny mood board of images I found online (Pinterest) and also snapped some photos from my garden outside. I picked out colors that spoke to me and took note of shapes that I liked -- of flowers, leaves, possible adornments, etc.

The patterns: Overview

This was SO fun! I definitely felt more comfortable making the really busy compositions -- layered, total chaos, and linking lines. But once I loosened up with sketches, the simplicity of the random scatter was a nice break from thinking through more layered and detailed blocks. Colors were also hard! I'm probably going to play around with recoloring (esp the backgrounds!) over the next few days... any suggestions are welcomed!

And here are the full patterns, in order, to see the details! I tried the quilt mockup but I didn't feel like I could see enough of the detail, so I put a signature on each one instead. I'm going to play around with mockups when I get some more free time too.
