My goal for students would be to start by copying the diagram drawings in the first lessons to get a feel for the process without having to worry about the details of the head. From there, working from any of the provided reference to complete a block-in drawing. Initially, these kinds of drawings take time to get comforta

ble with the process. Give yourself plenty of time. These kinds of drawings are not done in minutes, but hours! You will get faster at this with time, but allow yourself the patience early on to make sure things like proportions and placement are accurate.

For those that are complete beginners, begin your first project with the diagram drawings. Upload those into the project gallery and I'll give you critiques and assistance on your work before moving on.

For those of you who have a little more experience and wish to begin with a bit more challenge, use the provided reference photos or your own preferred reference and create your block-in. How detailed or simple you decide to create your block-in is up to you! Go as far as you feel comfortable and upload them. My goal with this class is to help you build your confidence in these early stages of drawing. Once we get a good handle on this part, finishing a drawing is much easier!
