Now that we had a great chance to dive into influential style and art movements of the last 100 years it is now time to apply what we have learned and to hopefully spark some excitement for trying new styles.   I want you to pick one of the style movements we discussed and create a poster that finds inspiration from that style.   

Art Nouveau - Detailed, Curvy, Natural Elements
Bauhaus - Geometric, Simplified, Purposeful  
Art Deco - Ornamental, Detailed Line Art, Gold and Dark Color Palettes  
Swiss Style - Grids, White Space and Structure  
Pop Art - Everyday Objects, Bright Colors
Post Modern - Break Past Rules, Distorted and Unpredictable
Digital Age - Technology rules, UX (User experience first), Practical and Flexible

Feel free to do further research into some of the influential artists and designers that lived during these dominant art movements to gather some ideas for your poster.

Your poster could be an advertising for a car from the 1960s or a pop art piece. It can feature geometric shapes inspired by the Bauhaus movement or if you want your poster to be a whimsical poster for a musical from the late 1800s. The choice is yours, so enjoy this process of studying other styles that have influenced modern day graphic design.
