Project Description

Your class project is to create an interesting, realistic room interior that grabs your attention. We’ll focus on perspective, foreshortening and believable proportions to sell your ideas!

Getting Started:

Review ‘lesson 6; 3D Grid’, ‘lesson 7: Simple Figures’ and ‘lesson 8:The Room’
choose a theme that you want to create. For example: coffee shop, garden shop, sports shop, bakery, spa, etc…
Remember to keep things simple.

Look at rooms in your home
Look at interior spaces in your neighbourhood
Check inside local stores and public buildings
Check online...

Build Your Sketch

Download/print the PLAN VIEW and mark your theme features on top.
Download/print the 3D GRID and print full size on an 8 ½”X 11” sheet.
On top of this grid, sketch your changes to the room structure
Make the important lines bold
Add figures
Add values (use five-value pallet: 0, 25, 50, 75, 100%)
Spray finished sketch to preserve
