Hello, I'm Karen Lampiasi and I'm a talent manager and career coach in NYC.

My management company is Lampiasi Talent Management, a small boutique management company whose clients are on Broadway and National Tours, starring in films, network and cable TV shows, national commercials and writing/recording music.

I graduated from Vassar College as a music major and worked at Motown Records, PolyGram Publishing, and Atlantic Records as an A&R Executive developing new artists and Executive Producing soundtrack albums, including the Gold Album for the hit TV show “The Wonder Years.” After leaving Atlantic Records, I helped manage recording artists & performers, including multi-platinum recording artist – and sister – Debbie Gibson.

After working as the NY Talent Scout for an LA-based talent agency, I decided to open my own management company, specializing in representing clients for theatre, film, TV, commercials and music.

Since forming Lampiasi Talent Management, my focus has been on developing up and coming artists and performers whose abilities and interests allow them to be pursuing multiple areas of the entertainment industry simultaneously.

In addition to managing, I also have a consulting business* that coaches a small number of performers for film/tv/theatre/music, and I lecture on the entertainment industry, teach master classes and produce music.

Over the last few years I've seen thousands of actors submit themselves for representation or for film, TV and theatre jobs, and what became clear to me was that most of them just weren't ready, and they had no idea why. And it's not for the reason you might think! This wasn't always a talent issue...it was usually a knowledge issue!

So many actors have the talent to be successful, they just don't know what they need to be doing to get there. They waste years trying to figure things out themselves by trial and error, or by taking the advice of well meaning fellow actors, who often don't have the right answers either.

That's why I've decided to keep my management roster small and not add additional clients, and instead focus on coaching and mentoring actors (and the parents of child actors) on how they can be helping THEMSELVES become marketable and in demand! Once they have the knowledge and their marketing materials in place, finding the right agent or manager, getting in the audition room and booking the job becomes much easier!

I've created a series of online workshops, and also offer in person coaching and consultations, to help performers of ALL ages maximize their potential and have a successful and fulfilling career and become ALL STAR ACTORS!
