Dear Students and Friends,

One of the great Joys of teaching is when you can take a complicated and sometimes challenging thing and simplify it, so it seems a lot more friendly.

I am excited to tell you about my new series of classes that do just that. They are called "DRAW SIMPLE", and this first one is about getting friendly with cylinders and all their ovals and curves, so you can have fun drawing them. They show up in every scene, so it is good to feel comfortable drawing them.

This class also teaches you a little about perspective, but don't tell. The dreaded P word is hardly mentioned and there are no vanishing points or mysterious lines..

On a sadder note, I just received an email that Skillshare will close 4 of my other classes for not living up to their new views per month rules. They are really good classes and one even has 600+ students and they all have lots of good reviews, but that doesn't matter. They also give us only a week to do anything about the numbers.

Creative Pages #1 - Three of a Kind - Probably should have had a better title, but it is a fun class about thinking up things to draw in your sketchbook.

Travel Sketching... Excursions at Home This one was created in 2020 when we couldn't go anywhere, so it's a sketchbooking home adventure. Lots of watercolor sketching instruction.

A Garden of Intention in Your Sketchbook is a 3 hour class about drawing and painting leaves and flowers and containers and "planting" an Intention as you draw each one.
