Hello! I am Hazylle, a self-taught artist from the Philippines whose work mainly focuses on drawing and painting people. My journey from learner to teacher in the span of 5 years gives me a unique perspective in teaching that will reflect in my classes. I am a big believer in the power of hands-on experience so my approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that learning by doing is the key to mastering the art of portraiture.

Every photo is different, and working with different mediums is essential to bringing those images to life. Each portrait is a unique challenge, and understanding this helps us adapt our techniques to different subjects and styles. By exploring a range of mediums and approaches, we will be able to approach every photo through the lens of these different mediums, allowing us to cater to every photo in a unique way.

My Skillshare classes will be about exploring different mediums and getting to know their qualities before allowing them to take the lead in the artwork. I believe that the best way to do art is through practice and exploration so my classes will be guided, real time instruction.
